Hello friends please give some comments as i have observed the some of forum have loose their rankings as well as the traffic after launching penguin. I have also compare my keyword ranking results with the previous results that there is also a drop down in the keyword rankings. Please give some advice what should i do to retain the remaining keyword rankings.

Do a search as follows: your keyword - anything.com (just like that, just substitute your keyword). See what your SERP is compared to what is shown on a normal search. In my case it is something like it was prior to Penguin. I got this from another forum, though the poster can't remember where they saw it or why it was said that this result was produced. Does anyone have any ideas please? I'm sure there must be a simple explanation.

What's Your Favorite Source for Links? Links have always been the ticket to the SERPs. Early on, reciprocal links were traded and that worked like a charm until Google got smart about that. A healthy dose of one way links became requisite. Obviously link bait is the best way to get one way links but how many times have you come up with a truly link worthy idea? How many "viral" ideas? Certainly I have written a post or two that got some friendly nods and links, but not enough to float my boat. Quite a few folks resorted to link buying despite warnings of the risks ... and it would seem the Penguin has pooped on a lot of those sites. But links are still what we all need. One of the best ways to create quality incoming links is off site content development -- the creation and placement of guest posts and articles on quality sites such as Squidoo, and Hubpages, Ezinearticles. I like morestar's article directory, too. And I am always in search of the opportunity for a guest post on a quality blog. Where are you developing links and content these days?

I recently changed my domain name from android-invasion.net to theandroidinvasion.com. android-invasion.net is still active and redirects to the new domain. After being fine for several days, traffic from search engines are down significantly (from about 500 views to 50). I am not all that familiar with SEO. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Does anyone know how to get the verification code in GA for an existing site? I am uploading a new Wordpress site and it is requesting the verification meta tag. I cannot find how to do this in the NEW GA - didn't have a problem with it in the old one. Also, Google Help still gives instructions for the old GA. thanks, Philip

Hello, I have a forum website about construction, and I was wondering something as far as SEO. Lets say myself or someone else made a good, long informative post and I like to promote it to an article or blog. (by the way I am using vbulletin 4) When I promoto the forum post to a blog and/or article, because of a duplicate content, do I get penalized by google or yahoo or other search engines? or it really doesnt matter?

I use stumbleupon often but I am getting 8 to 10 visitors only. I just want what is the way to increase more number of visitors using stumbleupon.

Hello, After being hit by Panda I have been looking at social media as a way to promote my sites. I Twitter ( or should I say I Twit? ), I Pin, I Stumble etc. I start to get a good few visitors now, especially from Stumbleupon. One of my sites got over 3000 visitors in the last 30 days, just from Stumbleupon. If these visitors would have come from search engines, I would have made at least 20 sales, now I made none. The same with Pinterest. I start to get visitors, but no sales. I would like to know of this activity with these social media sites, would, after a while, raise my sites in the search results. Is there link juice coming from these social media sites? In my Google web master account I only see a few links from Twitter.

OK so I know I'm asking a really newbie question. I am great at getting first page of google for regional terms. Say for example, Denver Auto Repairs. However I have some clients who want to be first page for Auto Repairs. I can easily go on 0desk or Elance and hire someone to do 25 links a day with that term, in forum profiles, forum footers, blog comments, etc., from PR4+ pages, for that term, pointing to my client's site. And it is not that expensive really. But is there any actual risk involved? Real world risk, beyond that the links would be ignored as being spammy. Can someone tell me the Con's to this?

Although I am active on the three real estate forums that I could find that are not niche, these forums themselves are not very active, so I find I spend most of the time I have available on SEO related discussion sites. I have read differing opinions on what the effect could be of having tons of signature links from sites that are not relevant to mine, and even the suggestion that such links (especially from SEO sites) could be a signal to Google that would not be favourable. So as a precaution I have removed most of my signatures but am still active on those forums. I was wondering what the opinions are here on this?
