Are Vegetarians Smarter?
8/12/2008 | external link
Are Vegetarians Smarter?I’ve always suspected the average vegetarian may be smarter than your average meat-eater, but was under the impression that was just my personal impression. Now it appears it’s official.A study of thousands of men and women revealed that those who stick to a vegetarian diet have IQs that are about five points higher than meat-eaters. The researchers, from the University of Southampton, tracked more than 8,000 volunteers for 20 years. Individuals who were vegetarian by the age of 30 had an average of five IQ points higher than their meat-eating brethren. The initial IQ tests were performed in the '70s, and the results of the study showed that the intelligent children were significantly more likely to become vegetarian later in life. Researchers say this study is a compelling explanation for why higher IQ in childhood or adolescence is linked with reduced risk of heart disease as an adult.I fear I may be opening a can of worms with this one, but do you concur with the results of this study? Please provide a rational explanation for your opinion.

Mission Accomplished! Now Leave!
8/12/2008 | external link
So, we killed Al-Zarqawi in an air-strike late last night. He was the leader of what we called "Al-Qaeda" in Iraq. This was the dude that beheaded Nick Berg a couple years ago... he was a man of terror.Bush said "this violent man will never murder again". I really hope that he was talking about himself. Aren't we done killing arab people? Bush also said "the fighting and killing will continue" (paraphrased), meaning that we're not done in Iraq.Did we find the WMD yet?Did we get rid of Saddam?Did we spread democracy?Did we get Saddam's sons?...what other fake reasons did we have?I think that we're done! Yay! We can start bring our troops back home!Bush, I am writing this paragraph directly to you and / or your administration: Please don't up with another "Al Qaeda - leader" or another reason to keep killing. Isn't this it? Isn't the mission accomplished yet?! You will be impeached - the only way you could avoid this now would be to declare martial law in our country. Ha! "Shock and Awe" is TERRORISM; do you think that nobody was terrified in Iraq that day?.BTW, get the USA Today issue for today (June 8th, 2006) - look on page 2 for the Impeach Bush ad.

Topic Rating Explained
8/12/2008 | external link
Our veteran members remember the reputation points system. The reputation point was aside from hosting credit system that your fellow forum peers gave to build the trust. It was mainly to gain credibility of this person's advice, post and information. The new forum version 2.1.4 features RATING system. This is similar to the reputation points. But instead of evaluating members individually, the rating system will rate individual topic. This allows two key factors to happen in this forum: 1) the topic will be evaluated by members for its relevance and usefulness 2) a member will spend extra time making a new topic and posting with quality contribution--which eliminates many redundant topics or spam topics. As you can see, if your topic can be evaluated by how much contribution or usefulness factor there won't be spam topics or topics with one-liner. A member will then spend some time carefully thinking about making a new topic and put some effort in by making a topic worthy of lengthy discussion. This benefits us all because not only it will stimulate, challenge and intrigue our discussions but the search engines will mark Trap17 as the best source for various discussions. And that, my fellow members, is our ultimate goal The final value of a rating is the average of total rates given.
Review My Site

Hi, I'm working on a link exchange site (tedallsearch.com). It is a tool for those who would prefer manual link exchange and are very selective about who they link to. Although links are manually exchanged there are fully automatic systems to ensure that no member is cheating.Who is interested can register for free, NO COST, NO reciprocal link required. I intend to maintain this site as a free resource for the community. TedallSearch.com is currently in beta and I'd appreciate if you'd help me do the final touches. For now, please post feedback here. Thank you in advance.

Msn Hotmail
8/12/2008 | external link
I have a myriad of different email accounts from various providers, most of them free. Now I have firmly decided that MSN Hotmail is the worst of the lot. Not only is the layout awful and mindbogglingly unintuitive but it now actually fails to send emails! Now, is it just me or is the main purpose of an email account to send email??? What makes this even worse is that Microsoft has continually denied that there is a problem, even though thousands of people have told them.I presumed that, as MSN said nothing, it was only a temporary problem and that everything would be working again soon. Unfortunatly, this is Microsoft, so it never really worked right in the firts place. I have been supposedly sending emails for months, and I have got no messages to say they haven't been delivered. However, when I ask people if they received them, nothing got through. This has happened hundreds of times to me alone.Due to the fact that this email service can't actually deal with emails I have decided it is the worst I have ever dealt with. Anyone else had this problem or agree with me?
Download Videos From Sites & Convert It.
8/12/2008 | external link
This tutorial shows you how to download videos from sites like YouTube, Google, Break etc, which runs is in the extension of .flv(Flash Video), and then convert it to .avi or .mpg format.First of all, go to http://keepvid.comThis site support the download of the sites listed below.QUOTEAngry Alien, ArtistDirect, Blastro, Blennus, Blip.tv, Bofunk, Bolt, Break.com, Castpost, Current TV, Dailymotion, DevilDucky, FindVideos, Free Video Blog, Google Video, Grinvi, Grouper, iFilm, LuluTV, Metacafe, Midis.biz, Music.com, MusicVideoCodes.info, MySpace, MySpace Video Code, Newgrounds, PcPlanets, Pixparty, Putfile, REVVER, Sharkle, StreetFire, That Video Site, The One Network, VideoCodes4U, VideoCodesWorld, VideoCodeZone, vidiLife, VIDNET.com, Vimeo, vSocial, Web62.com, YouTube and ZippyVideos. Then you'll be greeted by a line which tells you to download video direct from sites. Now go to your video site which you want to download from, then find the video that you wanted to download. Then when the page of the video you desire is loaded, click on the address bar of the page you wanted and right click it, then click "copy".Go back to the KeepVid site and paste the address into the textbox there(right click on the textbox and click paste) and select the site that you are downloading from at the right drop down menu. Then click download.A box will show up below label grey in color with the word "Download" in the heading... Right click on the "›› Download Link ‹‹" and click save as. Change the file extension to .flv. Wait for the video to finish the downloading. And then when it's finished the flash video is now save into your computer. Now time for converting into a nice .avi or .mpg format which we can easily deal with.Go to http://www.download.com/Riva-FLV-Encoder/3...&tag=buttonDownload the Riva FLV Encoder 2 and save it into your desktop. Run the installer and follow the instruction. After it has finished installing, open up the Riva FLV Encoder. Then at the input section click on the browse button, and search for the video you have downloaded. Then click on the browse button of the output section and select your destination folder. The default output name will be shown with extension .flv and change the output name extension to .avi or .mpg instead of .flv. Play with those settings at the right to ensure you get the correct video you wanted. Then click the encode button.Note: Some encoding will result in the lost of audio. If in that case happens I suggest you use Audacity and combine with the .avi or .mpg product from your encoding.I've not encounter this problem but I'll try to experiement with this features and then edit this tutorial again with the fix.During encoding, there may be a FFMPEG window which will popup and will disappear once the encoding is finish. There you are, a nicely done up video in the extension you wanted from a site you think you could never download from! I've tried it out a couple of times and it works great! Hope you guys will like this tutorial.PS: There maybe a certain codec you need to download in order to view your video, go to http://www.free-codecs.com/The_Codecs_download.htm to download the codec.I'll like to thank the user guide of videohelp.com for helping me to finish my script.
